Research

My research interests lie at the intersection of Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence. In previous years, I studied human aspects of software engineering centering on the analysis of design and software maintenance meetings. More recently, I investigate the application of Generative AI to software development workflows. Specifically, I explore novel ways to create synthetic data, AI software agents, and how to design novel LLM powered tools.

Education

I received my Ph.D. in Software Engineering from UC Irvine in 2022. There, I joined SDCL and worked under the supervision of Prof. André van der Hoek. During my time at UC Irvine, I was a recipient of the Rosalva Gallardo Valencia Award (2021), the Miguel Velez Scholarship (2017, 2019, 2022), and I was one of the Latino Excellence and Achievement awardees in 2021.
