Research
My research interests lie at the intersection of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. I investigate how to integrate Generative AI into software development workflows by exploring novel ways to create high-quality synthetic data for code LLMs, AI software agents, and LLM powered systems. In previous years, I studied software engineering practices, centering on the analysis of software development meetings. I keep actively contributing to this line of research too.
Education
I received my Ph.D. in Software Engineering from UC Irvine in 2022. At UCI, I joined SDCL and worked under the supervision of Prof. André van der Hoek. I was a recipient of the Rosalva Gallardo Valencia Award (2021), the Miguel Velez Scholarship (2017, 2019, 2022), and I was one of the Latino Excellence and Achievement awardees in 2021.
